These plastic canvas number patterns coordinate perfectly with our alphabet patterns. They are great for making banners to decorate your home for holidays or special occasions. They are also perfect for making magnets to teach kids their numbers.
For years now I have been meaning to design plastic canvas number patterns that coordinate with the plastic canvas alphabet patterns I designed. I finally got around to it and they are now available in my Etsy shop.
The pattern contains the numbers 0-9. The numbers are approx 4 inches tall and made on 7 count plastic canvas. If you need a smaller size, you can use 10 count plastic canvas.
About this Plastic Canvas Numbers Pattern:
Finished Size: 4″ tall if you use 7 count plastic canvas. 2-7/8″ tall if you use 10 count plastic canvas.
Plastic Canvas Used: 7 count or 10 count depending on the size you want for the finished letters.
Colors of Yarn Used: 1 or 2 per number
Stitches to use on these plastic canvas number patterns
To stitch the numbers quickly, I recommend using either the Continental Stitch or the Slanted Gobelin Stitch to fill in your plastic canvas letters.
If you want to get more fancy though, there are a variety of plastic canvas stitches you can use to fill the letters. If you need ideas on different plastic canvas stitches you can use to fill the letters, I highly recommend getting a copy of the Plastic Canvas Stitch Dictionary. I have it and use it all the time. This pattern book is a great way to learn new stitches that can really add that special something to your project!
